My little one
Thank you Natalie @ Square Photography These are absolutely beautiful. Natalie has such a talent at capturing elegant, detailed shots and has such a gift at making the photo pop! These were done in Little Miss' nursery. I love having photos of her in her room, its more personal to me and I know I will love these for years to come. Thank you Nat for sharing your talent with me.

Let me take you on a tour
I am so happy with how little miss' room turned out. Many of these are from my dear friend Nat (square photography) you can tell hers are the much prettier looking ones!
First, the mobile. I made this from branches on a tree that used to be in the front of my parents house with a touch of moss, you will later see just how much I love moss. I found the bird idea here and knew it was just what I was looking for as a mobile so I got to work. I love how in the slightest breeze they just fly around up above.
Now the bedding. I LOVE purple! But when it comes to finding purple fabric, that was SO HARD! they had basic purple but nothing that I fell in love with or was just right, until i found these hoop dots at Material Girls. Unfortunately they only had it in some fat quarters. I searched probably 10 different fabric stores all over the valley with absolutely no luck! So I went to my talented mother and she was able to piece the fat quarters together to make the bumpers and then took all my scraps and left overs from that and made this awesome quilt. Baby girl will sure be able to exercise her eyes with this bedding... bonus!
To the left of the crib... her hair bow holder. Believe it or not my girly girl has more that we love to rotate through. Gotta love the bows & flowers. This is made out of an old cabinet door and some metal sunflowers (found at Wood Connection years ago) I used her name circles for decoration at her blessing.
To the right of the crib is the table I redid from DI... Yup I still love it! I love everything about it to the flower detail on the top.
I love my rocker, so comfy. I started going through a bird phase when it came to her room... can you tell? I made her a stuffed owl maybe she will play with it someday....
I also made these...
I love the daisy balls from Oopsie Daisy, but unfortunately I don't have $150 just laying around for one so I made one myself along with the moss balls, see I love moss (1 giant bag of moss from Hobby Lobby + styrofoam ball + lots and lots and lots of hot glue= moss heaven or mess however you want to look at it)
My shrine for my daughter. Oh and more birds!!!
The giant moss covered M. Its a paper mache M from Joanns that I covered in... you guessed it... MOSS!!
I figured this picture would give perspective of how big the M is, plus its a sweet picture.
bellow the M is our friendly owl. Oli is obsessed with this little guy, always pulling it out of its cage rolling it down the stairs or randomly placing it in nooks around the house. He has survived a lot.
Her room relaxes me and makes me happy. Here's to hoping it will do the same for baby girl!

A name and a blessing
Little Miss had a very special day on Sunday. The priesthood is such an extraordinary gift. I am so grateful for this special power in my life.We believe that the "priesthood is the authority and the power which God has granted to men on earth to act for Him. When priesthood authority is exercised properly, priesthood bearers do what He would do if He were present." -Boyd K. Packer. Such a simple explanation that I sometimes take for granted. It was so beautiful to see me daughter by held up by the strong hands of our loved ones during such a spiritual moment. It was a great day!
Can you believe my sweet mother made this dress!? It was exactly what Curtis and I envisioned, it was stunning. My mom is incredible.
Just some highlights from the day
The Italian soda bar was a hit! Something fun, something different and definitely tastey!
I saw this awesome cake here and knew I wanted to give it a try. Definitely a work in progress but I was happy with how it turned out (lemon cake with a cream cheese filling and butter meringue frosting.)
Curtis was making fun of me telling me "she's not getting married!" so in lieu of that, Doll had to get a picture of me cutting the cake
Thank you to everyone who came out and showed your love and support to our baby girl. And to those who wanted to be here but weren't able to be, we were thinking of you and missed you dearly

A thousand words
Maybe I'm biased. Maybe I was just raised with good taste... Or just maybe I am just that fortunate to be surrounded by so many talented people. Miss Sadie Lou has become quite accustom to having her picture taken. She has had some pretty great photo shoots with some pretty fantastic photographers. I will be posting those in intervals so you don't get over loaded.
That being said, let me introduce Rodney Royce photography.

Aren't these just so beautiful? My dad has such an eye for perfection and has a quick triger finger. He is always able to capture the most stunning shots. My favorite photos he takes are of children. He captures these vibrant personalities at just the right moment with so much attention to detail, the pictures are packed with life.
Dad, you are amazing. Thank you!
I used these for her announcement
Insert another talented person, Ms. Kristi. I love how these announcements turned out. Thank you Kristi for sharing your talent with us. I LOVE them!

its busy but if you ask me what I have been up to I can't think of anything other than baby and toddler. Having a new baby and a 2 year old is hard. Maybe its just me. We have been so extremely lucky to have had SO much help dinners, playdates, babysitters, and visits with us; people have been so sweet and willing to serve us.
Mercedes is so close to being 6 weeks old and is just so sweet. I want to snuggle with her all day so I am back and forth with cuddling playing monsters cuddling being a chalk artist more snuggling playing steam roller and on and on and on. This is my day. In the mean time dishes get neglected, laundry is begging to be folded and beds are not being made but thats ok. This is what its about, playing and loving my children. Enjoying these small moments that I have with them. I always think about the Hilary weeks song, If I only had today.... such a great song.
