Parent's of the year

At least in Gus's eyes!
Hello THOMAS!!

I think Oli has seen only a handful of Thomas episodes and it has been a few months since he has watched any but still the obsession continues.

Gus LOVES trains and was in heaven!

You wouldn't think it from this face but he is having a great time, I promise. Day out with Thomas was one of those things that we did it once and don't really think we would do it again. Ultimately it was just fun to see Oli so happy

When Curtis and I were dating and things were turning more serious I told him a big deal breaker for me is if he didn't want a dog because I wanted our family to have a fury friend. He then told me that our children will have to be motorcycle riders. We finally came to a compromise that it would be ok but when they turned 4 (oh and he will never be over dog poop duty, that's all me until the babes get old enough *and yes as a side note here I am 8 months pregnant and still out in the yard picking up the poop, the sacrifices we make).

Oli can spot a motorcycle before I can and Curtis couldn't be more proud. Heaven help me when this child turns 4

We came home from Thomas last night to a broken washer. Thank goodness I married a handyman, I admit my faith was wavering when he was literally pulling apart everything he could to find the problem. I should have had more trust and we have now learned a valuable lesson... Never let your 2 year old play by the washer/ 'help' you put clothes in the washer without thoroughly going through every item they are placing in the washer. Gus had snuck a hook from Jack's kennel in the wash and our poor washer wasn't up for the challenge. But now its fixed!! Hurray!

Yeah, I have a hot husband

One year older and wiser too....

At least I hope i am wiser. It's funny how the nostalgia of birthday's past make it somewhat difficult for birthday's present. It just isn't the same as when I was a kid and would count down the months then weeks, days and eventually hours to my birthday. But even as an adult birthday's are and always will be a cause for celebration. Curtis and I took Gus to a restaurant fav. Tucano's for dinner last Friday. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for a night on the town and my husband couldn't have been more cooperative as I drug him in and out of practically every store Gateway offered (if you know Curtis you know he HATES shopping)

It was the most ideal way to celebrate my birthday.

Oli and Curtis ready to sing to me

My free dessert. Oliman did not want to share!

On my actual birthday my cousin Shaunna (whose birthday is just the day prior) and sister Kristi joined me in the audience of Good Things Utah.... Thanks Doll for being such a great friend it was fun to see you at your work!

We then went to Rubios for our free birthday lunch (YUMMM)

Later that night us girlies went to see the movie Something Borrowed (I don't recommend it but it was fun to get so angry at a movie screen)

And who could turn down a wonderful trip to The Rack with my momma? I couldn't!

To top off my night I picked up my free birthday shake from Iceburg.

Yeah I had a pretty good day!

I wanted to do a 25 in 25 list. At first it was difficult to think of things to fill up my 25 but the more I started brainstorming I realized just how fortunate I have been to do so many wonderful things.

TaDa!!

I got the bug yesterday and got to work on one of these beauties. I learned from all of my mistakes so when it comes time to work on the other one I will be all ready!
From this.....

To this....

It is so perfect for Little Miss' room, I really wanted to do a chippy paint look mixed with the glaze effect. I combined techniques from this place http://showandtell-sausha.blogspot.com/ and from here http://www.allthingsthrifty.com/ One project down about a million left to go! I feel like such an idiot for how excited I am to finally have her room coming together!

I almost gave up....

But I finally found what I have been searching for! I can not WAIT to get started on these bad boys. Originally I just wanted the one but they came as a packaged deal for $30 at D.I. gotta love D.I. These will go perfectly with the botanical type of theme I am doing for Little Miss's room!

If I don't mess them up too horribly I will post the grand debut who knows when though
