Paaaartaaayy!

The past 3 weeks with Ms. Mercedes have been all sorts of wonderful. We have just been loving every minute with her... but before I get too carried away with all the fun of a new baby I can't forget about the fun we had for Gus's birthday. We had a blast with Oliver's birthday this year and planned a fun train themed party. I got most my inspiration from my favorite party planning website thepartydress and it made planning this party an ease (especially since I was about to pop myself

We had such a great turn out and Oliver had so much fun playing till he practically passed out. Thank you to everyone who gave their love to our little man on his special day!

Here we have the candy table where the kids (and kids and heart) spent a lot of time. We had Swedish fish, sixletes, licorice, redhots, homemade oreos, taffy, gumballs and of course red velvet and vanilla CUPCAKES! Sorry for the sugar overload! Along with bubbles there were little trinkets for the kids to play with like train whistles, stickers, those plastic bubble things I loved as a kid (see picture of JR bellow) and a table where the kids could color pictures of their favorite Thomas the Train character and play with playdough.

Next stop is the dining car where the master of the B.B.Q. aka Curtis maned the grill to feed our hungry passengers.

Oli loved the gift part of his party. He had SO much fun opening the gifts to see what was inside.

However, Oli did not love these plastic bubble things..... they "skeerd" him

And no party would be complete without a special ride with the cousins... Little O was pretty upset when I pulled him off of this.

I think the party was a success, mostly because Oliver always asks for another birthday party. and just LOVES the word "Burd--ayy"

(I just loved this picture too much not to share)

Mercedes Shay

'Sabees' is here! This is what Oli calls her. We are completely smitten and have been soaking in every moment as a new family of 4... make that 5 with Black Jack
Here we are on our way to welcome Little Miss to the world. Jack was acting funny all morning, he knew something was up.

At the hospital we got all hooked up and the water broke, there was no turning back all we had left was to wait, and wait and wait. I made it through about 2 hours of deep contractions before the sweet relief of the epidural.

and then... it was TIME! Sadie baby was just being so considerate and waited for all of our doc's patients to leave the office before letting us know we needed her. 1 round of pushes a breather and a half a push later and she was here! at 6 pounds 2 ounces and 19 inches long our beautiful dark haired grey eyed daughter was here!

Yeah she was born with the World News on in the background

I was STARVING after delivery so after I had my initial snuggle greet with my baby girl I was brought a bunch of food that I scarffed down in a matter of minutes

So far Oli has been in love with baby sister and always wants to hold and kiss her. Whenever he sees her eyes open he exclaims "There it is!!" it is just adorable.

ittle Miss is so loved by so many, I am so grateful for all of the love that/has surrounded us!

First bath, I love that new baby smell
