3 years ago today I was sealed for time AND eternity

There is nobody else I would rather have as my partner in crime who keeps me in check and pushes me to be a better person everyday. Curtis is such an amazing father and provider for our family and such a wonderful man.
I am a lucky, lucky woman

Celebrate!

Its the 24th... HAPPY PIONEER DAY! In celebration I finally finished this little treasure

I saw this on Good Things the other day and really wanted to make on, and yes it did take quite a while to cut out each state... Call me crazy but I like these types of things. We have had a lot of fun the past couple of weeks, last night Rory and Jennine hosted a BBQ swim party for sweet Ava;s

Yeah we got lucky with getting most of the grand babies here, we miss you Charlotte!

The other day Oli became fascinated with his tongue, and did this ALL DAY LONG

Richmond Homes decided to make good on the promise to fix our driveway... Hip hip horray! They have been working feverishly on most of the homes on our street. They were so nice to let me get Oliver's footprints while the cement was still wet, too bad Oli wasn't a fantastic participant. I had high hopes that this would turn out better

his feet plus a hand print

My boys. I often find them like this, Jack is so tolerant!
Curtis came home from work the other day and was SO excited about what he had eaten for lunch earlier that day. He went to one of our favorite sandwich places and discovered they now had a thing called "The Widow Maker" he hadn't had enough of it earlier so he wanted to make one for me for dinner. It is a bacon cheese burger smothered between two grill cheeses. It was surprisingly good, but YIKES, I felt my arteries clogging up while I ate it and got full pretty fast.

PaRtY TiMe!

I little too late, I know but here it is....
Oliver is 1 and it was a great excuse to celebrate the whole weekend long! We are so happy/elated/thrilled to have this crazy little boy in our family and absolutely LOVE HIM!

We had a BBQ birthday party at the park and I will preface this with ... I am no photographer! I forget about my camera until near the end and even then I awkwardly ask if I can take some photos so this is the best I can do. Now having said that I totally spaced on taking any photos of the party decor but on Oliver's actual birthday I had reset out all the decorations to have our own little party so I snuck a few shots in.
did he wear this? NOPE!

Oliver LOVED his bubble machine from mimmi and poppa I think Jack just might love it a little more though

At the party I had set out a cape making table along with face painting supplies, thanks Kristi for helping with your artistic talents! Plus I LOVE when RoriAna smiles like this, it is just so stinkin cute

A few of our fellow partiers!

Party decor and left over goodies.

On Sunday we took a family stroll over to Daybreak. It was just such a beautiful hot day and Oliver freaked when he saw the fountain. He was so desperate to get in and play in the water, so what do we do as responsible parents? We let him. Sshhh dont tell but we let Jack have some fun in the water too! Both our boys were in HEAVEN.

When I pulled him out to go, Oliver made it VERY clear to me that he was NOT ready to stop playing...

We had a great time celebrating with our many friends and family and our days are so full of joy with this little tyke. Thank you everyone for helping us make it so memorable!

Busy (exhausted) little bee

The week of Oli's birthday was a little chaotic for me. I am the RS activity chair in my ward and our activity fell on the same week of Oli's birthday party, along with Curtis having to go out of town for a business trip. I am so glad that I got started on Oliver's party super early and practically had it all done in time so I wasn't too stressed and am so happy (well not so happy with all of the wind) with how his party turned out. But first let me start with our RS activity. I am so grateful for such an awesome committee! Our theme was 'feed your eternity' we had an intro class to the new family search/indexing program, than split into a cooking class and a continuation on the family search online program. Afterwards we had an optional craft. I had seen this idea here http://heartlandpaper.typepad.com/heartland_paper/2010/05/mothers-day-gift-ideas-on-studio-5.html and revamped it a tiny bit and got this.

Than I started thinking this would be a cool idea for my grandma... so I contacted the

sweet lady I got the magnet boards from and asked how big she could go... the answer: 45x55 inches!!! Hey I needed to fit about 160+ bottle caps/family photos on this thing. So I planned and plotted on how exactly I would go about this! And here is my (almost) finished product. I am so happy with how it turned out! All that is left to do is compile all 150+ family photos I don't have this is why my deadline is sweet grandma's birthday in October. The great thing about this board is how easy it will be to add new additions to. Each 1st generation siblings family has a style of paper leaf and 1st generation has 1 leaf, 2nd has two and 3rd has 3. and those that have passed on will have a white leaf. Eventually all of the bottle caps will migrate to the tree once all of the photos are done.

Oli is awake now so I will have to save photo's from his party till my next break!

One "EEEE EE EEEEEE"

I said to Oli this morning "Oli you are ONE today!" as i held up my index finger to show him... He looks at me, shows me his index finger. I then say, "yes, ONE, aw aw aw (like the count off of sesame street)" With his index finger up he tries to copy me by saying "EEE EE EEEE"

All morning all I hear him say is "EEE EE EEEE"

What a great morning we have had!

Happy Birthday Oliver!
I wanted to hack in to my wife's blog and say how excited I am that my son is 1!!! My fantastic wife has done such a wonderful job taking care of him and raising him in such a great way. I love Bekah and Oliver so much and am thrilled to see them every day. I look forward to celebrating many more birthdays and all of the exciting times that we will share. 1 aw aw aw, EE EE EEE!!!!!
